The Porche’ family and the employees of Universal Oil and Lube would like to thank the community for their continuing support, sympathy, and prayers through this difficult time. We are also grateful for the immediate response and excellent care we received from the Houston Fire Department, the Houston Police Department, the Second Precinct Constables, and the Harris County Sheriff Department. Everything seems to be business as usual at the shop only days after the owner and his father were shot while we worked on our customer’s vehicles. It has been a difficult holiday for us with all of the different emotions we have felt. It is difficult to imagine the experiences we have gone through but we all feel blessed to be alive to see another day.

Many of us in the area know Jared and his family through the shop, and we all know the extent he has gone through to help each of his customers. As well, he has supported and enhanced this community that has long patronized his family business. As an employee of Universal Oil and Lube, I cannot express the gratitude I have for the Porche’s.
